Circulation and the organ clock
The 24-hour circuit, the six Yin-Yang layers, and how to read time-of-day symptoms clinically.
How it starts
The twelve channels are not twelve independent circuits: they form a single closed circuit that Qi travels in twenty-four hours. Two consequences follow, and both are useful: the order can be deduced rather than memorized, and the time at which a symptom appears becomes information.
The rest of the lesson opens with Acupuntura I.
In this lesson you will learn
- Reproduce the circulation order of the twelve channels without memorizing it.
- Name the time window of each channel and use it in the intake interview.
- Understand the relationship between peak and trough, and the two ways it can be read.
- Know the rationale behind chronoacupuncture and the section that calculates it.
