Hip, knee, and leg
Piriformis, knee pain, calf, and plantar fascia, with the orthopedic tests to do first.
How it starts
In the lower limb, more than in any other region, the pain is rarely where the patient points to it. The lateral knee hurts because of the gluteus medius; the heel, because of the calf. Working only where it hurts is the surest way to have the patient come back with the same problem.
The rest of the lesson opens with Tuina.
In this lesson you will learn
- Assign lower-limb pain to its chain and work along it.
- Differentiate the most common hip, knee, and foot conditions.
- Apply the preliminary tests that change the treatment plan.
- Recognize the red flags of the lower limb, with DVT at the top of the list.

“The hand reaches where the needle can't.”

- Perform the fifteen basic techniques with correct posture and rhythm.
- Build a complete session with opening, work, mobilization, and closing.
- Treat the cervical, thoracolumbar, and limb regions with sound judgment.
