Name and classical tradition

Nüxi, 女膝, is the "woman's knee": 女, the woman; 膝, the knee. The name is puzzling, because the point is not on the knee but on the heel, at the center of the posterior border of the calcaneus, at the boundary between the red and white skin, and no available source explains the choice.

It does not appear in the classical works we were able to check, and its first mention remains unclear. The reference works give it local uses, such as heel pain and chilblains, and one distant use, epilepsy. It lies next to the Achilles tendon, close to BL61, Pucan.

Each pattern with its tongue, its pulse, the treatment principle and the points to tonify and disperse. Made for the treatment table, not the bookshelf.

Do you use EX-NUXI with your patients?

In the Clinic you record it in the patient's file, next to the tongue, the pulse and the measurements, so at the next session you know exactly what you used. The Atlas is built in.
