Name and classical tradition

Yinjiao, 阴交, is the "Yin Crossing." 阴 (陰) is yin; 交 is the crossing, the meeting. It is a meeting point of the Ren Mai, the Chong Mai, and the Kidney channel, and the name says so without metaphor. The point lies one cun below the navel.

The first work to record it is the Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing (Systematic Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion). The Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing gives it the alternative names 少關 and 橫戶; the glosses that explain them are modern. It should not be confused with SP6, Sanyinjiao, the crossing of the three yin channels on the leg, nor with GV28, Yinjiao, which is written with a different character, 齦, the gum.

Protocols for the 20 patterns you see most in practice

Each pattern with its tongue, its pulse, the treatment principle and the points to tonify and disperse. Made for the treatment table, not the bookshelf.

Do you use CV7 with your patients?

In the Clinic you record it in the patient's file, next to the tongue, the pulse and the measurements, so at the next session you know exactly what you used. The Atlas is built in.
